Everyday, you may see a beautiful deciduous forest on the internet or in a picture, but you have never seen the DARK side of humans regarding this biome.

  • People live too close to the deciduous forest biome
  • Acid Rain - Caused by industrial and vehicle emissions. Damages leaves and causes them to produce less seeds.
  • Cutting of Trees - Trees cut for timber and to clear land for agriculture. It leaves thousands of species of animals without a home.
  • Inroduction of Non-native Organisms - Upsets the balance of the ecosystem, by competing for food with native organisms.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:
  • Recycle - reducing the cut down of trees
  • Use both faces of the paper used
  • Drive less, more carpool reducing acid rain

Since deciduous forests are so close to factories and industries, the incredible amount of smog is higher in the area, causing acid rain, which creates many problems in the environment, specially to the different leaves and animals.
